A natural sapphire of 4.02 carats in an oval mixed cut — a substantial weight in a single stone. The color is a deep teal, dark and saturated, with flashes of vivid emerald green and electric blue breaking across the crown as it moves. The stone is loupe clean, exceptional at this size and depth of tone. Reported by IGI as natural corundum with indications of heating — the standard and universally accepted treatment for sapphire.
