Sapphire

Gemologist’s Note
A bright, warm green sapphire in a full, well-shaped pear, with a sunny yellow undertone that gives the color real glow. In person the stone is lively and radiant: lime-bright flashes break across the crown as it moves, while the body holds a saturated, even green from the rounded end to the tip. The proportions keep the color full, with no pale or empty center, and the stone has a warm, cheerful brilliance. It is eye clean, so the color reads clear and uninterrupted. IGI has examined the stone and reports indications of heating, a traditional and stable treatment in sapphire; the color is permanent.
