A bright olive-green sapphire with a warm brownish undertone that gives the color depth and character. In person the stone is livelier than its earthy hue suggests: a rich olive body fills the pear, and bright flashes of golden and fresh green break across the crown as it moves, lifting the warm tone with real sparkle. The cut is well proportioned, with no washed-out center, so the color holds evenly to the tip. It is eye clean, letting the complex, warm green read clearly. IGI has examined the stone and reports indications of heating, a long-established and stable treatment in sapphire; its color is permanent.
