Russian Sapphire

Gemologist’s Note
Pear shapes are rare in Sutara material — most of this deposit's rough gets cut into step and emerald shapes to protect yield, so a well-proportioned brilliant pear like this one is a deliberate choice, not a default. At 1.67 carats it carries genuine size, and the fancy brilliant pavilion sets the stone dancing with light rather than sitting flat, a lively scintillation this deposit's typical step cuts don't offer. The color is a soft, gentle olive-green, and the eye reads it clean — remarkably so for material this size. GFCO confirms no heat, no treatment, Sutara origin.
