Sapphire

Gemologist’s Note
An unheated natural sapphire of 1.79 carats in a pear mixed cut, reported by the Chanthaburi Gemological Laboratory with no indication of heating — a meaningful distinction, as the great majority of blue sapphires on the market are heat-treated. The color is a deep, cool blue with a distinct teal cast, the steel-blue range that reads as modern rather than classical. Natural inclusions are visible within, the honest signature of an untreated, earth-mined stone. An unheated sapphire of good size in an unusual pear cut, with a blue that stands apart from the conventional.
