Russian Sapphire

Gemologist’s Note
This is the stone the Sutara line will be judged by. At 2.86 carats it is both the largest and the cleanest blue-green in the parcel — a true green-blue, not the olive or golden material that dominates this deposit, but a saturated, almost aquatic tone that holds its color from every angle. The pear brilliant opens the stone fully, and what it opens onto is remarkably transparent for Sutara rough: fine internal threading is visible on close inspection, but the eye reads clean, unbroken color from face-up. GFCO confirms no heat, no treatment, Sutara origin. This is the stone that proves the deposit can produce genuine blue-green sapphire at this size and this purity — not a promise, a fact, held in the hand.
