This 3.78 carat oval-cut tourmaline is a product of the Malkhan pegmatite field in the Transbaikal region of Russia, celebrated for its deep raspberry and magenta tourmaline. The color is a rich, saturated pink-raspberry with real depth and warmth, distributed evenly across the oval face without any washed-out zones. The Russian faceting here is exceptional and distinctive – a precise oval cut with an unusually crisp, star-like pattern radiating from the culet that reads with more geometric complexity than a standard oval faceting scheme, giving the stone a livelier optical signature than most ovals of this size. Clarity is fairly good, with a few fine inclusions visible on closer inspection – consistent with natural, unheated material from this deposit – without disrupting the overall brightness or transparency. In hand it's extremely lively, throwing constant, saturated flashes across the facets as it moves.
