An unheated sapphire in a fresh, juicy mint green, faceted as a full round brilliant. In person the stone is dazzling: the brilliant faceting breaks light into a fine, star-like pattern of crisp sparkle that radiates from the center outward, so the face is constantly alive with bright flashes against cool mint-green tones. This kind of faceting is rarely seen in colored sapphire and gives the stone a precision and liveliness more often associated with diamonds. The color holds evenly across the face, with no pale or empty center, and the stone is eye clean. IGI has examined it and found no indications of heating; its color is entirely natural.
