A richly saturated green sapphire with a deep, cool body and a blue-green glow that rises from within as the stone moves. In person it is bright and juicy despite its depth of tone: the darker green gives the color weight and density, while teal flashes break across the pavilion and keep the face lively rather than heavy. The well-proportioned cut holds color evenly across the face, with no pale or empty center. The stone is eye clean, so the color reads uninterrupted from edge to edge. IGI has examined the stone and reports indications of heating, a long-established and stable treatment in sapphire; the color is permanent and unaffected by wear.
