Emerald

Gemologist’s Note
A Russian emerald of 2.88 carats, IGI-confirmed as Ural in origin, in the same deep green with that bluish Ural cast prized in the finest material. What sets this stone apart is its clarity — it’s clean and glows from within, with light traveling through the stone in a way that gives the color real luminosity rather than just depth. Its elongated cut cornered rectangular step cut suits the stone’s proportions and lets that internal light play across the full length of the table. Like nearly all emeralds it shows indications of clarity enhancement, the standard accepted treatment. A clean, glowing Ural emerald with confirmed provenance — the clarity here is what makes it stand out.
