A Russian demantoid of 0.68 carats from the Poldnevskoye deposit, cut as a trillion. The color is a rich, saturated green, deep and full-bodied across the whole face. At the center, a well-formed horsetail inclusion radiates outward in fine golden byssolite fibers, clearly visible and confirming Uralian origin — an attractive, textbook example of the marker collectors look for. The trillion's broad triangular facets give the color and the dispersion room to move together, the light breaking into wide flashes rather than tight pinpoints. A demantoid with real depth of color and a horsetail worth studying up close.
