Sapphire

Gemologist’s Note
An unheated sapphire in a warm olive yellow-green, lit up by sudden flashes of blue. In person it is bright and playful: the warm body color glows through the center of the stone, while the outer facets break into cool blue-green sparks as it moves, so warm and cool tones constantly trade places across the face. That contrast gives the stone a lively, changeable character that a single flat green could not. It is eye clean, so the interplay of warm and cool color reads clearly. IGI has examined it and found no indications of heating; the color, including its blue flashes, is entirely natural.
