Sapphire

Gemologist’s Note
A saturated, juicy green sapphire with a cool undertone that keeps it from ever turning olive or yellowish. In person the color is bright and lively: the body reads as clean, fresh green, while flashes from the pavilion pick up a faint blue edge as the stone moves, giving it depth and a slightly crisp, cool character rather than a flat single tone. Under daylight it stays saturated and true; under warmer light the green softens but holds its richness. IGI has examined the stone and found no indications of heating: its color is entirely as nature formed it, which in green sapphire is far less common than buyers tend to assume. The stone is eye clean; the few small natural inclusions seen under magnification are part of its identity as an untreated stone and do not interfere with its brightness face-up.
