Russian Sapphire

Gemologist’s Note
Under a carat, but carat weight tells only part of this stone's story. The color is the real headline: a vivid, saturated green with none of the yellow undertone that runs through most of this deposit's production — closer to fine emerald than to typical Sutara material. The square step cut keeps the pavilion's bold X-pattern fully visible, and light travels it cleanly, the stone reading bright and lively rather than static. Clarity holds up well at this size, with color carrying the eye before any inclusion does. GFCO confirms no heat, no treatment, Sutara origin.
