This substantial 2.36 carat pear-shaped sapphire comes from Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. The color is a rich, saturated green with excellent depth and even distribution across the whole pear-shaped face – a genuinely uncommon color for corundum, since green sapphire is far less common in the trade than blue, pink, or yellow material. Clarity is excellent, with the stone reading clean to the eye and showing outstanding transparency for its size. At well over 2 carats, it has real presence and substance. In hand it's genuinely lively, with strong, even brilliance returning across the facets. Backed by a Chanthaburi Gemological Laboratory (GLC) report confirming natural sapphire, green, with no indication of heating.
