Russian Sapphire

Gemologist’s Note
A long step-cut leaves nowhere for a stone to hide, and here it reveals something worth seeing: a natural feather caught mid-length in the pavilion, throwing a brief flash of turquoise against the surrounding olive-green as light travels the table. That flash is the stone's own doing — no treatment produces it, and no synthetic replicates it. The tone runs deeper than most in this parcel, closer to true green than the yellow-leaning stones around it, and the color carries the whole piece. GFCO reports it as untreated, Sutara origin.
