A Russian demantoid of 0.595 carats, cut as a round brilliant in the Russian style, from the Korkodino deposit. The color is a rich, juicy green of true saturation. Under close photography, the horsetail reveals itself as a broad veil of fine golden byssolite fibers spanning the interior — yet to the naked eye the stone remains bright and lively, its brilliance undiminished by the structure within. A demantoid that photographs with dramatic interior detail while wearing its character lightly in hand.
