A Russian demantoid of 0.78 carats from the Poldnevskoye deposit, cut as a square cushion — a shape almost never seen in this material. The color is a vivid, saturated green, opening into bright flashes of gold and green light across the broad step facets. The cut gives the stone real presence: the squared silhouette and cut corners let light gather and release in wide, deliberate bursts rather than the tight sparkle of a round brilliant. Fine internal texture is visible near the center, consistent with Uralian origin. A demantoid of genuine size, cut in a form that sets it apart from almost any other stone of its kind.
