Teal Sapphire

Gemologist’s Note
A bright, fresh sapphire in a true teal tone, where green and blue share the stone almost evenly. In person the color is vivid and juicy: the green carries the body, while a clear blue-green runs through the pavilion and comes alive as the stone turns, so it never settles into a single flat shade. The cut returns light well across the face, with no dead or washed-out zone in the center, and the stone stays lively even in softer indoor light. It is eye clean, which lets the color read clearly from edge to edge. IGI has examined the stone and reports indications of heating: a traditional, stable treatment widely used in sapphire, and the color is permanent and will not change with wear or time.
