This 0.65 carat oval mixed-cut sapphire from Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, was brought to its full color through conventional heat treatment, the time-honored process used throughout the trade. The result is a vivid, magenta-leaning pink with rich, consistent saturation from end to end of the stone's notably elongated oval silhouette – a shape that lets the color travel the full length of the face and gives the stone a more elegant, drawn-out presence than a standard oval cut. In hand it performs beautifully: light moves freely across the facets and returns as bright, near-constant brilliance, with the stone reading clean and animated from every angle. Measuring 5.46 x 3.97 x 3.36 mm, it carries an International Gemological Institute (IGI) Colored Gemstone Report confirming natural corundum with indications of conventional heating.
