Russian Sapphire

Gemologist’s Note
Sutara's palette usually reads as green, but this stone sits at the far warm edge of that range — a honeyed yellow-green that shifts toward amber under warmer light. The elongated octagon stretches that color across more than nine millimeters, giving it a commanding presence, while internal feathering and fine needle inclusions catch light along the pavilion and add a soft, textured glow rather than distraction. It's a color variant collectors of this deposit specifically look for — proof that "green sapphire" from this source is really a spectrum, not a single shade. Untreated and Sutara-origin, reported by GFCO.
