Emerald

Gemologist’s Note
A 3-carat Russian emerald, IGI-confirmed as Ural in origin, and unusually transparent for its kind. The color is a lively green with the cool, faintly bluish cast prized in Ural material. What genuinely stands out is its clarity: emeralds are defined by their inclusions, and larger stones almost always show more of them, yet this 3-carat example reads exceptionally clean and open for its size, with light passing cleanly through rather than catching a busy interior. Like nearly all emeralds it shows indications of clarity enhancement, the standard accepted treatment for the species. A large, remarkably clean Ural emerald with true bluish-green character and confirmed provenance — an uncommon combination of size, transparency, and origin.
