A Russian demantoid of 0.74 carats, cut as a round brilliant in the Russian style, from the Korkodino deposit. The color is a bright, true green of classic saturation. The horsetail is exceptional — full, feathery sprays of golden byssolite sweep outward from the culet across nearly the entire face, textbook in both density and form. Light returns crisply between the fibers, keeping the stone lively rather than clouded. A demantoid where the horsetail itself is the centerpiece, as fine an example of the phenomenon as the material offers.
