A Russian demantoid of 0.86 carats, cut as a round brilliant in the Russian style, from the Korkodino deposit. The color is an exceptionally dark, deep green, so saturated it borders on black in the body of the stone. Against this dark ground, the horsetail ignites — dense sprays of bright, electric-green byssolite fibers glow through the center and extend toward the crown, creating a dramatic contrast rarely seen in material this size. A demantoid of theatrical intensity, where the darkness of the body color makes the horsetail read like light trapped inside the stone.
