Alexandrite

Gemologist’s Note
At 1.185 carats, this square-cut alexandrite is a rarity in its own right — square and cushion-square shapes are far less common from Malyshevo than the standard ovals and rounds, since most rough doesn't accommodate the shape without heavy weight loss. This stone is heavily included, with visible inclusion clouding throughout that keeps it from reading eye clean, and that's worth saying plainly rather than glossing over. What it delivers instead is size, an uncommon silhouette, and a color change that holds up regardless: a deep bluish-green in daylight turning into a rich, convincing purple under incandescent light. For a collector prioritizing shape and color performance over top-tier transparency, this is a stone with real character.
