This 3.125 carat pear-shaped tourmaline is a product of Kunar Province, Afghanistan, whose pegmatite fields are prized for fine polychrome and green tourmaline alongside the region's celebrated kunzite. The color moves from a rich forest green through the body of the stone toward warm golden-yellow along the outer facets, a natural zoning effect that gives the pear-shaped face genuine visual depth and movement rather than a single flat tone. The faceting is even and well-proportioned, with a symmetrical pear outline and clean facet junctions that carry the color transition smoothly from the point through to the broader end. Clarity is fairly good, with the stone reading clean to the eye at normal viewing distance despite a few fine inclusions visible on closer inspection. In hand it's genuinely lively, with bright flashes moving across both the green and gold zones as the stone turns.
